The candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand spoken and written form of language at a high level of language proficiency (near native-speaker competence). It includes the use of complex topics and linguistic procedures, as well. The candidate is free to move over the text in personal and professional field. Moreover, he may demonstrate the ability to handle challenging situations.

Oral communication:

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to express him/herself with clarity and precision concerning a personal and professional field. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to extract information and implications from discussion that may include familiar and unfamiliar topics.

Lexis: A wide range of vocabulary resulting from the active vocabulary usage of the communication in different spheres. The vocabulary needed to handle communication tasks (see III.).

  • texts that native speakers come into contact with
  • a good command of idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms
  • a regional language and idiomatic expressions
  • oral communication.

Exam description:

Duration: 20 minutes, points allocated: 25

Form: direct conversation between two candidates

  • Introductory interview
  • the first part of the conversation – guided conversation based on given topics; second part of the conversation – a specific discussion in which the candidate has to give his/her opinion about own profession
  • to give candidates´ views on the issue based on visual stimuli. The candidates must interpret and analyse pictures/graphical display.
